Huge initial (3/4 of the glass) head. This reduces to larger bubbles before its lumpy settling. It does leave several shorter streaks and plenty of spots on the glass. The liquid is gold approaching straw with a near cloudiness to it.
I get a piney, floral hop smell as soon as I open the can. Once in the glass, I smell berry fruitiness and lighter pale malt.
Plenty of carbonation with a definitively light body. It stops just short of watery...barely. The flavor is sweet for the style, but I no longer get any of the berry elements in the smell. There's more yeast than hop to the finish. This is a relatively bland, lawnmower-styled beer. It does have some interesting features but it falls short of average for an APA.

So, this is a bit of a "hot mess". It pours beautifully, some sort of medium orange with a nice frothy white head. The nose is candy and belgian yeast - what in the world is going on here? American Jesus, indeed. Taste and mouthfeel wise, this is a thin, overally carbonated, super sweet ale that doesn't know what it really wants to be. Disappointing.

Smell of Citra hop, sweet orange and yeast. Taste of spiced yeast and malt. Quite watery. I'm searching the citra. Aromas of cereals, soil. Short and bland bitterness.
