A:
Pours almost entirely fluffy tan head, look 25+ minutes to pour correctly, all told. It sports a hazy brown-amber body. Retention is too good; lacing. (3.25)

S:
Nutty chocolate-dipped leather. Toasted nuts, cocoa, leather, cherries, caramelized sugars. (3.75)

T:
Nutty with some caramel, a little burnt nuttiness, dirt—which gains strength as you work through it. (3.25)

M:
Thin and pop-like carbonation-wise, rising dirty bitterness that ruined the finish a bit for me; drinablility too. (2.75)

O:
All right, but not good in my mind.
It has notes in the aroma and taste that are undeniably the markings of a fine brown ale. Unfortunately, it didn't turn out to be the nutty, toasty, melanoidin-laden beauty it seems like at first. Very thin, with a really dirty burnt bitterness that grows, frustrating to pour, overcarbonated in the mouth as well, taking away from my enjoyment of the body.
Would not have again; meh. (2.75)

Bottle: Poured a clear brown color ale with a nice light brown foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of caramelized malt with light earthy hops notes. Taste is also dominated by caramelized hops with light roasted nuts, earthy hops and light residual sugar traces. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nothing really special overall and malt bill could be less grainy.
