Cloudy dark straw color with storming activity, and thick yeast detritus. Thick creamy white 2-3 finger head, lasting around 5-10 minutes, with a good amount of legs. Flavors of yeast, roasted grains, strawberries, rhubarb, floral spices. Low sweetness, sour and dry, but not really vinous, more candy like. Slick medium body with almost champagne like carbonation. Medium to strong finish, not overly sour if you don't pour all the yeast, well intensified, with a very nice roasted malt feel, but very acidic. There is some good balance with the flavors, the fruity feel is not dominating but quite subtle, and the malt presence is very tasty. Feels more like a berliner weisse with all that sourness and almost no freshness, lacking a little sweetness for a saison. Not a beer I would enjoy everyday, but overall its still a pretty decent quality craft.

Bottle: Poured a light blonde color ale with a medium size pure white foamy head with OK retention. Aroma consists of tart and lightly acetic notes with light rhubarb notes. Taste is also mostly dominate dry acetic and tart notes with light rhubarb thought strawberry are hard to detect. Body is about average with good carbonation. I thought this was enjoyable but maybe closer to a Berliner weisse then a saison.
