The style is new to me, I picked up a sixer at the local Piggly Wiggly. (The June Brewery of the Month)The 11.2 oz. bottle poured into a 20oz. weizen sports three fingers of off white foam that settles slowly leaving plenty of lacing on the glass. This is a dark brown beer that is tough to see the carbonation.
The aroma is faint, a little malty, that's all I am picking up.
With the first taste I can detect a little spiciness, faint cinnamon, a little oak barrel and a bit sweet. The beer finishes slightly bitter and a bit dry.
The feel is creamy, but slightly dry for a second at the end. My guess that comes from the 7.2ABV.
This beer is OK, but nothing special, looks great, feels nice and creamy, it is just a little dry for me. I like the spices but not the high alcohol.
