Thanks Mike. This was poured into a lager glass. The appearance was a soft black color with a good two finger eggshell white foamy head. Just a touch of sliding lace. The aroma had a some roasty nuts and light coffee up front. Some toast/German yeastiness. Light herbal/earthy quality at the back end. The flavor took the previously mentioned aromas to blend somewhat sweetly with a touch of roast to it. German lager yeastiness was there, but fairly light. Pretty smooth sweet and roasty sort of aftertaste with the same sort of finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a good sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, not bad as a Schwarzbier, probably one I could go at again if offered.
