Had on tap. The look and feel were the highlights, and really what they did was capture the style prototypically. The smell had hint of coffee, malt, bitters, and iron. The taste was akin to a used metal ash tray. Don't know what happened but not good.

The Backlash Jack was a decent English Brown. It poured a clear brownish amber with thin white head that left a spotty lace. The scent carried bread and bitter tones. The taste leaned more bitter with sour dough like quality. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
