Brown 33cl bottle, best before 14th Oct 2010, drank 19th Feb 2010. Poured into a 'Corsendonk' stemmed tulip glass. The bottle label claimed 7%ABV.

A large off-white foaming head sat on top of an almost ruby red body, the colour was a bit lighter than a ruby red, but not by much.

Chocolate aroma, dark chocolate with raisins whipped into it.

Strange taste, the chocolate from the smell is still there, but it is joined by marzipan type flavours and weak cheeries, weird stuff. Coffee and toffee in there too. Sweet yet with a sour/dry finish.

The body isn't heavy, nor is it thin, lets go for medium bodied?

This is not a Munich anyhting, let alone a dark lager. Don't know what it is, but it is interesting and just about the best beer I've had out of Luxembourg, from around 15 reviewed.

This beer poured a clear bronze, brown color with a medium off white head. The nose of the beer is malty sweet and there is a touch of lemon in the aroma as well. The taste is slightly bitter up front but there is a malty sweet backbone that rounds out this Christmas beer.

Appearance: the head sinks down very fast, big bubbly foam, not too much gas, clear
Smell: distinct mash smell, smells like unfermented wort
Taste: very sweet, kind of mash taste, malty, no herbs have been used and a slight alcoholic taste. The 7% alcohol was not very present because of the sweetness. The beer was maltbitter had a medium body. I think this is an all-malt beer, with no sugars added.
The beer is brewed in Luxembourg, but although this is close to Belgium, the beer was more German, something like a German Bockbier. I could not drink more than one of these, because it is too sweet for me and because of the mash taste.
