12oz can, adhesive label. Date stamped on label is '18/SEP/23 - 18/SEP/24'.
Cloudy, pale gold colored body. Brief lasting white head which fizzes away. No lacing.
Aroma of sour raspberry.
Taste is sour and salty. Flavors are raspberry and coriander spice. Some berry fruit sweetness. Quick fade in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel. Noticeable sourness but mild. Salty on the lips. Good carbonation.
Refreshing sour with salt and raspberry.

As the popularity of gose wash over the beerscape, even brewers of Panama come under the spell of Northern German sour ale. With the spice of salt, coriander and a moderate acidic tone, it seems that the brewers of Casa Bruja are among the few breweries who understand how to make a proper Gose. And taking a berry-filled play out out of the Lambics playbook takes this classic beer on a raspberry trip.
Pouring a pale pinkish golen color and cast is a hazy slightly matte finish, the frothy Gose Frambuesa carries a raw grain must across the nose. While suggestions of red berries, sour citrus, tropical fruit, light brine and burlap ebb and flow through the aromatic senses, a grain sweetened taste of whole wheat, cereal and germ tease the early palate with bready sweetness, saltwater taffy and sourdough.
As the maltier influence begin to fade across the middle palate, the sourness gains intensity with the familiarity of lime, lemon, green apple, white grape, gooseberry, tropical fruit and the unmistakable character of raspberries. Light on hops, the sourness carries the balance while remnants of wheat malt remain. A rounded salinity is redolent with the brine of the sea while its coriander and raspberry influence add a perfume of orange peel and red wine to the late palate.
Lightly musty and remiss of damp burlap, the medium bodied sour ale trails into fruity, floral and musty finish with bold suggestions of rose wine and cider coming with a woodsy scathe and a briny, bready after palate with an undercurrent of sourdough and red berries remaining steadfast.

12 oz. bottle. Lightly hazy golden with a tinge of red. Smells of wheat and raspberry. Mostly wheat, though. Tastes very salty. A little raspberry. Coriander. More salt. And the finish is a little bit of raspberry again. Light body. Not quite as tasty as the Limon Kaffir, but it's good.
