Poured from clear bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep brown color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading over time and leaving a good deal of spotty lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is light with notes of corn and malt mixed with a bit of an almost urine like aroma. Not too appetizing.
Taste – The taste begins with alight grain and corn sweetness mixed with notes of cereal and light caramel. As the taste advances the grain intensifies a bit while the sweet fades a tad, leaving one with a moderately crisp and light taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body is light and thin with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall – While the aroma is pretty nasty, for a 2.0 % brew the taste isn’t super bad. More flavor then I would have expected. If looking for flavor county and attitude, go elsewhere, but if looking for a for a super session style brew not bad. You could drink this all day and be fine.
