Our English Pale Ale is reminiscent of the malt rich brews shared after many a tough rugby match in the UK. We named this unfiltered ale after arguably the toughest position in rugby.

Look: Light Auburn, opaque. Pours with a 1 finger offwhite head. Head disapates slowly leaving a nice lacing at 5 minutes.
Smell: Very light and understated. Grassy and malty with hints of toast.
Taste: Semi sweet with biscuits on the front and middle, with tea and bitter on the end.
Feel: LIght bodied with a nice dry finish.
Pretty run of the middle English pale ale. Consider this 8 man a journeyman player who guts out a starting position every year. Definately not a superstar player. Earns a B -

Pours rich amber thinnish head. Aroma caramel and toffee some toast. Flavour, lightly hopped - some piney herbal. Very quaffable with good lebgth.
Tasted again on cask at the Ashburnham Ale House - perfect temperature on cask - the beer popped. Had to increase the score substanially - Also note the perfect blend of hop bitterness, slight sulpher, rich caramelly malt.

Good local option in the county. I had mine with dinner. Morrocan Fish Stew. Paired well.
Unlike earlier review I found mine quite hoppy, which I enjoyed.

Unfiltered looking Golden honey colour that really shines. Small head that doesn't stick around long. Minimal lacing.
A nice fruity sweet Apple aroma, malty and fresh grasses. Mineral and a herbal.
Very full flavours of baked apple, wild honey, whole grain bread, juicy and floral through the middle. Bitter citrus rind hops on the finish. Noticeable warming.
Round and good med body easy. More viscous than expected, like nectar. Mild and pleasant carbonation. Great feel.
Very surprising overall and great pale ale. Beautiful sweet fruit and honey balanced with florals and bitter hops. Nice complexity and easy to go back to for more. Will get more than one can next time.

Golden bodied with lace though carbonation bubblles suggest much carbonation. Mouthfeel ok. Sour finish with sugar in aftertaste. Minimal hop aroma and taste.

Highly enjoyable, full bodied pale ale. Reminiscent of a farmhouse ale. Excellent balance of malts and hops. First time experiencing MacKinnon Bros, on tap at the Dakota Tavern.
