Pours absolutely clear medium gold. Looks & smells like hard cider, plus a slightly spicy/funky yeast aroma.
The flavor is semi-dry, lightly fruity, slightly spicy , with a touch of bitterness, fine carbonation, and sourness on the finish. Slightly oily feel, that feels thicker than other Berliners that I've had.
Overall quite good. Seems more like a saison that is slightly sour, rather than a Berliner Weissbier.

Pours with a mound of sudsy foam that quickly disappeared without a trace. Classic hazy pale straw color with persistent and perky bubbles that fizz to the top of my pint for the life of the beer, revealing aggressive carbonation.
Aromas of lemon freshness, yeast, bread dough, and prickly carbonation are followed by mellow grassy notes that remind me of that first lawnowing in spring. An herbaceous chlorophyll is there for sure.
Taste is solid Berliner Weis. Tart and tangy with a good bite from the prickly CO2. The lemon balm comes through nicely with some subtle herbal notes like basil and cilantro and... Celery leaf? Yeah, almost savory amid the mild sweetness of bread, yeast, and grain. Something mildly sticky and vegetal, ever so mildly buttering and drying, can only be dandelion. Finish is sour, followed by light florals. Wow, this really works. Perfect for Spring.
Mouth feel is light, refreshing, clean and with the carbonation it is cleansing. Easy drinking and quenching on a warm day.
So impressed. A very nice Berliner Weis, but a really great twist that truly works. The additionals here are functional, not just for show. I don't miss the coriander and lemon peel one bit. The lemon balm and dandelion are evocative of the season and the region and really work nicely in this format.
Really appreciate that this brewery malts thier own locally sourced barely and uses local NYS hops and wild yeast strains. True artisanship here at its finest.
