From a growler filled at the brewery last Saturday (5 days ago) .Let sit out for about five minutes before opening. (Animals have to be fed, if I'm to do this review in peace, eh? ;) ) Longer than I would like, but some unexpected events (including another (free!) brewery visit :) ) intervened.
Dark mahogany brown, with just over one finger of creamy light tan head.Leaves a fairly full 3/8" ring of fine lacing, and an almost completely-covering surface sheet. A little chestnut brown color leaks at the edges when held to the light.
Smell is cocoa, cola, roasted nut, and slight char. There is some bready malt aroma from the open growler. The aroma is enticing, and spot-on.
Taste is roasty/nutty malt, slight charred wood, with light tang and cocoa at/near finish. Light bitterness.
Feel is light, not watery, with very, very fine carbonation that is lightly creamy most of the way through, but which also manages to give some very fine, but noticeably sharp bite near finish. Drying finish, that lingers awhile.
Overall, a wonderful Dry Irish Stout. Maybe the best I've had. Not sure what the buckwheat adds, but I like the end result. :)

Pours a deep mahogany with a coffee colored head with nice retention.
Smells of coffee, chocolate, earthy hops, and dark bread.
Taste is dark malt, coffee, and bitter chocolate, followed by plumb and earthy hops.
