From a growler, filled at the brewery about 3 hours ago.
Almost-clear gold with one finger of long-lasting white head. Good-looking beer, but odd for the style. Split the difference? *shrug*
Smell is orange, pineapple, a little grapefruit, and a hint of......mango.....yeah, that's it. Occasional flashes of green onion and biscuity malt, when swirled.
Taste is pretty much same as aroma, minus the malt. Slight lemon/lime flavor lingers after finish.
Feel is light-medium, smooth, with moderate very fine carbonation coming in on the latter half. No indication at all that it is 8% abv (Except for how I'm starting to feel , after 18 oz or so ;) ) . If tasting blind, I'd have guessed in the 5.5% range.
Overall good, though a bit mild in flavor intensity, for what it is. (My cajun seafood salad sandwich is slightly overwhelming it . ;) ) Dangerously easy-drinking.
