The appearance was a dark copper almost red sort of color with a sly transparency about it. Light cap of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Light lace. The aroma attended to a fair balance between some roasted nutty to caramel malts to a fair grassy hop balance. The flavor balanced decently between the malts and the hops, somewhat bitter, somewhat sweet, but not really blended in a superior way; just there. Sly malty aftertaste and finish. The feel was somewhat sessionable. Seemed like the ABV felt as appropriate as what the brewer intended. Overall, good for what it was. Perhaps again if offered.
