One of the worst beers that ever crawled on my throat.
Pours Brown. Bubbly, white, short had that Fades immediately.
Smell Smoke, malt, dark fruit hands and Light sour wood.
Taste vinegar and smoke. Lights our niece and a hint of malt. Finish is dry with a smoky linger. Lighter body and light fizzy low carbonation.

Taste: Bold smoked malts, smoked meats, baked beans, dry finish. Smoked wood and meat aroma. Dark Brown, mostly unfiltered, with a soft refined head, some lace. Wood pair well with BBQ or smoked Salmon. 23 IBUs

This is definitely a "specialty" beer. They describe it as great as a chaser with your Bloody Mary. I can totally see that. But alone this was too much oddness for me.

The slightly darker than white head clings to the edges of the glass. Body is dark brown. Nose has strong bacon and meat to it. With first sip the black pepper come through at the back of the pallet. I've had a lot of so-called "bacon beers," but Brenner has done it right.

Pour: On draft at Brenner Brewery in Milwaukee, WI. Poured into a nonic pint glass. Appearance: Dark, close to black in color. White head that reduces after settling. Aroma: Malty with a slight hint of bacon and pepper. Smoky. Taste: Lighter taste than what the appearance would suggest. Smoky and savory flavors come through but are not overpowering. Slight flavors of peppered bacon. Aftertaste: Consistent brew. smoky, savory, and peppery on the back end. Notes: Really like this beer. Want more intensity though. Overall: Good. 3.52 out of 5.

WOW! What a weird beer. In all honesty, before I tried it, I thought I was going to hate it. I was pleasantly surprised. The bacon really hits your nose. The flavor was really great.

Great example of a Rauchbier. Very similar to ones out of Bamberg, but not so crazy heavy. The black pepper is a nice twist. Had it with a bacon burger.
