Actually rated 9.3% on the crowler purchased at the tap room. This is a quality beer but one that will be difficult to rate. It's quality is present in the freshness of the beer. It freshness is apparent even after 10days from being put into the crowler from the tap. It's fresh!
The beer is equally bitter as it is sweet, but it is the deep roast malt flavor that adds to the complex character. The malt is like a bitter dark chocolate, or even rye flavor. Poured into a 12 oz ceramic cup it is not easy to tell the look, other than a deep black with minimal head, but a head that stays present around the edge of the cup. The sweet flavor rounds this beer out. This is a Baltic Porter and a strong one at that. It's a quality offering with a punch from the Clandestine crew who experiment in the truest sense of the word with the craft of brewing.

Smoked Baltic Porter, poured from crowler to Belgian snifter. Light brown head, very dark, but clear. Malt and smoke aroma. Flavor is balanced, with subtle smoke character, roasted malt, ash, long finish, not too bitter. Alcohol is not noticeable at all, quite surprising given the strength. Silky mouthfeel, carbonation is there, but very low level. Overall a very tasty beer, will buy it again soon.
