750 ml bottle, handwritten Batch #166 written on the label in purple sharpie. "Cream ale brewed with coffee". Acquired the bottle for $17.99 plus tax at the local bottle shop.
Poured into a Duvel tulip snifter.
A - Pours a nice hazy golden colored body, over a finger of frothy white head that stays a while, leaving good big fluffy sheets of scattered lacing. Appears well carbonated. Looks very nice.
S - The freshly brewed coffee is apparent right off the bat, with notes of cream, lactose, yeast, and hints at stone fruits / passionfruit near the end, probably yeast derived. A very fresh smelling and intriguing aroma.
T - Freshly brewed creamy coffee hits hard and straightforward, notes of lactose, vanilla, golden oaty malt flavors, hints at baker's chocolate. Very complex, delicious, and interesting stuff. Dry and yeasty finish, I'm guessing this was more than likely bottle conditioned. Very tasty stuff.
M - Smooth, crisp, & creamy feel. Very easy-drinking stuff, borderline quenching. Dry finish, with crisp carb, beckons the palate for more.
Overall, a nice beer from Marz Community Brewing. I was hoping Nasal Cavity would have came out more like this one, but i digress. This was a delicious coffee infused cream ale. Highly recommended stuff.
