i loved all the beers here at marz, how interesting and well executed they all were. this is a yerba mate and tea mixed fermentation sour beer with papaya, which actually tastes as good as it sounds, light and crisp and refreshing, fully original, and one i would drink quite a bit of with my lady if it were available to us in colorado! its a little hazy from the tap and without a ton of head, but the aroma is awesome, natural juicy tropical papaya over a funky lactic sour profile, some raw wheat, and an herbal bitterness and floral component from the teas, not too intense on the extras, but their contributions are readily obvious. the flavor is excellent, the up front sweet pop of the fruit more than balanced off by the earthy bitterness of the yerba mate, green and grassy and already brewed tasting to me, a cool and unusual combination, but certainly a successful one! great carbonation, way more than it looks like it should have, and a dry acidic finish, but not so much so that i wouldnt make a day of these. awesome combination of flavors, i like the wild funk layer in here too, awesome execution of a great idea, which was a common theme here...

Acquired from my local bottle shop, Liquor Park. Drank out of a Transient Artisan Ales tulip glass.
Look: Hay colored and golden color, poured with a finger of rapidly dissipating white head, very cloudy appearance, no lacing, no apparent down up carbonation.
Smell: A hit of bugs, a good kick of earthy tea, fermenting tropical fruit namely papaya and over ripe lemon.
Taste: A blast of tartness (not the most tart beer I've ever had, but definitely in the top 5), earthy notes from the tea which gives it a bit of kombucha flavors, over ripened fruit, stomach acid, sour lemon Warheads.
Feel: Light medium mouthfeel, low carbonation, extremely drying.

Whew this bad boy is tart as all get out. It will pucker you up big time. Straw color with no head to speak of. Tea and papaya add nice layers of aroma and flavor to the funky base. Extremely dry finish. Really enjoyable
