This beer pours a semi hazy bronze color. The head is large, dense, and lasts until the beer is gone. The aroma has some breadiness, and some sweet caramel. The taste is very sweet. There is a lot of caramel, and significant fruitiness...enough to make me question whether or not this is a lager. The mouthfeel is medium bodied. The carbonation is really low. Overall, this is a poor example of a maibock, and a bad beer in general.

 

In and of itself this is a tasty beer. Strong malt forward lager with the addition of vanilla and oak to give it a flavor profile reminiscent of rum. As a Maibock, well, its not a maibock, not remotely.
