I have successfully chased down and tried some of the country's (USA) most elusive, limited production IPAs. In my humble opinion, "Crazy Straws" is among them and appears to be substantially underrated. IPA drinkers who are looking for a little more personality than a standard IPA but perhaps not as much hops as an Imperial IPA will find that Marz's brew hits a sweet spot in between the two. The feel upon first drinking the beer is consistent with the finish, and the profile include just enough citrus for a refreshing taste, but nowhere near overbearing. The bottle is a minimalist piece of art, with the pour appearance reflecting an inviting shade of bright gold.

I was hoping for a lot more from this beer.. It definitely looks and smells like a Marz beer, but it has the terrible lactose-y mouthfeel that I personally do not like. Not awful but I couldn't finish it.

Released 6/9/18; drank 6/14/18 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque orange rust appearance.
A violent pour yielded a nice eggshell head; nice tree-rung lace.
Bubblegum, grapefruit & dry grass notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Bubblegum, grapefruit & dry grass flavors; not my go-to NE IPA profile, but this hung together very well. Enjoyable.

12oz can, über fresh & canned on 01/03/18. Murky, murky apricot nectar colored ale with a tall, foamy off-white head that leaves tons of lacing on the glass. Floral and fruity aroma; nectarine, peach, mango, orange, lemon-lime, and passion fruit. Super juicy flavors, all similar to aroma. Full, creamy body, modestly bitter finish. Good NE IPA - I'd drink this again.

Tasted in a Spiegelau IPA glass from a 12 fl oz can on January 5, 2018. Canned on 1/03/18. Look is hazy caramel orange with a thick cream colored head and lingering lacing. Smell and taste is orange citrus and tropical fruit. Feel is creamy and smooth.
