Released January 2018; drank 2/25/19 @ the Yarchives.
Opaque brown/purple appearance.
An even pour yielded a huge khaki head; a thick curtain of lace.
Baking soda, raspberry, caramel & oak notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Caramel, baking soda & fresh earth flavors up front; oak dryness & booze heat notes on the finish.
A messy, boozy beer that I can't imagine anyone enjoying. I've had my last.

7/1/18: 1 pint, 0.9 fl ounce bottle poured into snifter. $13.82 purchase at Beer on the Wall 1/19/18. Multiple pours into snifter. Dark brown pour, nice beige puffy thick head, solid carbonation. Sweet wine aroma offset by malt. Warm grape wine and scotch taste, somewhat sweet. OK taste. Thin texture, carbonation holds, easy drinking. Overall unique beer, very strong ABV kicks you afterward.

Picked up this one out of intrigue. I wondered, "Why hasn't anyone made a barleywine-quad hyrbid before?" Now, after trying this, I know why. Tastes like used ashtray, and the smell is ash with mop water. Barley, malt and broken dreams, disaster of a beer.
