Orange Sorbaze

Caution when opening this one, high carbonation and foams easily. Smell has candied oranges, bitter hops, sugar, and then a burnt rubber smell on the finish. Taste is orange rubbing alcohol with sugar and slight hops disgustingly overpowered. Feel is sludgy, frothy and burns on edges, and generally decomposes in a hurry. How did this one pass quality control? Too bad because blueberry sorbaze was good, this was the first drain pour of the year

Love Marz, but this is a major misfire. The bottle was badly overpressurized and the remaining beer has a distinct plastic taste and smell that overpowers the orange. Literally and figuratively down the train.

 

Tasted in a Rastal Teku from a 1 pint .9 fl oz bottle on October 14, 2018. Double dry hopped milkshake double India Pale Ale brewed with tangerine and lactose. Something does not taste right with this one.
