Served from the can in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Pours a mostly clear brass-gold topped by a good finger of lightly off-white froth. The nose comprises mild grass, lemon zest, light biscuit, flowers, light musty greens, and corn ripped right from the cob. The taste brings in more of the same, the grasses and lemon taking on a spicy character that plays well off of the bready biscuit and corn bits. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a mostly crisp finish. A very nice pils, indeed.

I drank this from a pint glass. I don't have a dog or horse so I did not have a dog bowl or trough. This is a yellow beer, made for pilsner lovers. This is an excellent pilsner beer with wonderful spicy lemony flavors, and crisp carbonation. Fans of the Yellow River Boys will Slurp It Up when taking a break from drinking their favorite warm beverage...

Tasted in a Spiegelau pilsner glass from a 12 fl oz can on January 31, 2020. Dry-hopped pilsner. It is light and crisp, with a clean malt character and low bitterness, featuring subtle notes of black pepper and spice. Yellow River Pils is best enjoyed when drank hot from a dog bowl or trough.
