Deep copper and slightly hazed with modest head but decent lacing.
Muted aromas of caramel malt, bready yeast, and grass.
The flavors are a little stronger and balanced. More fest than marzen. Restraint on the sweetness.
Nice carbonation and drink ability.
A pretty solid domestic festbier.

Received from a trade. Bottled 9/16/16 and drunk on 12/3/16. Not totally fresh but fresh enough.
L: like an Oktoberfest should. Copper/toffee color. Thin legs.
S: Not much of a smell. Feint maltiness, sweetness, but a little funky too. Probably from the yeast.
T: A little sweeter than I usually like, and not as dry as it should be. But it's a solid beer for the style. I've had better and I definitely have had much worse.
F: Not too thick, not too thin. Could be more carbonated.
O: I'd get it again if it was available around me.

I had a 4 oz. sample at the brewery. It was my favorite of the 4 samples I had. In fact, I loved it. It's a seasonal lager.

Poured from 12-ounce bottle into a stein. Color is a clear toffee color, off-white one-finger head that dissipates rather quickly leaving a thin ring of foam. Nice carbonation, with a continuous stream of bobbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Aromas of biscuit malt and light toffee that carry over to the palate. Taste and finish are surprisingly bitter, which makes for a nicely-balanced beer in my book.
