Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a "chocolate stout with peanut butter". It's poured a very dark brown that appears black in the full glass with some dark mahogany brown highlights at the base. The head is a thumb's width of tan foam. There's not a lot in the aroma but I do get some peanut butter and a bit of cocolate. The flavor is fuller offering notes of lightly sweet bread similar to an Italian panettone, soft golden caramel, cocoa powder, light milk chocolate, and a hint of peanut butter. A moderate bitterness balances it leading to a mainly dry finish. The mouthfeel is smooth with a medium body and moderate carbonation. Looking back, the head didn't hold up so well but there are some streaks and spots of lace all the way up to where the head first formed. I was expecting more peanut butter and chocolate from this but I'm not disappointed. It's not overdone which leaves it very drinkable, and there's just enough peanut butter there that it adds an extra note of complexity.
