Clear orange, effervescent, with two-plus fingers of long-lasting, sudsy white head. Thick, sloppy lacing.
Nice grapefruit-forward aroma with a spicy, herbal element, grass and light tropical fruit behind.
Mango-like sweetness shows first in the taste, with very light bitterness and a lingering spicy backend. There's a very distant nutty and medicinal character as well.
Light to medium bodied with lightly prickly carbonation.
A flavorful example of the style.

These guys have been getting better and better. Their latest stuff in the pint bottles have been on point. Glad to have this brewery local. Lots of hoppy citrus, low bitterness, great mouthfeel. A lovely crushable pale ale.

From the 650 ml. bottle. Sampled on August 22, 2015.
A little murky medium amber color with a long lasting off-white head.
Aroma of toffee malts and and citrus or tropical hops. Jellybeans too.
Light to medium body.
The taste has a melted caramel or toffee flavor to start and then the bitterness kicks in with a vengeance. Although not as much citrus and tropical flavors as the nose suggests.

Bottle from Bert's
I jostled the bottle and ended up with quite a hazy pour dark straw in color with a good sized long lasting bubbly white head. Huge citrus and tropical fruity aromas atop a base of sweet bready malt mixed with bits of yeasty phenol and grass. The flavor is faint bready malt with a more than firm hop bitterness that builds at the end of every sip. Grainy, grassy, bitter pith, and aspirin make up the rest of the flavors. Light to medium body with a moderate level of carbonation. This one needs some tweaking. Overpowering bitterness with nothing to balance it.

Bought a bomber from Craft Beer Cellar in Nashua, poured into a standard glass.
L- Cloudy pale gold, looks unfiltered.
S- Hop punch! More IPA than APA, but very nice. Floral, citrus, pine/evergreen notes. The big note is citrus backed up by pine, even some spruce in there too!
T- For an APA, this is very hop-forward. More bitter than citrus. The malts really do not support such a hop profile and are lost quickly. Very bitter finish that lingers in the back of the mouth. Disappointing.
F- Light body, nothing to write home about. Not as crisp as I'd prefer, dry finish, somewhat watery.
O- Disappointing considering that their porter was rather good. This is a new brewery just finding their feet, but even still, this is a sub-par APA.
