Draught @ the brewery: This one is a reddish-brown color. There was a bit of a light tan head to it. The aroma is a bit mild, although there are some hints of roastiness and malt sweetness to it. The taste is a mild but good: a basic red ale with a hint of roastiness. A good session beer.

Brown with a nice tan head, low carbonation, and little lace. Light coffee and chocolate aromas. Coffee and chocolate flavors -- all malt and no hop character but nice roasty malt flavor. Light-medium bodied with a dry roasty finish.
Very Interesting ... A nice variation of the Amber Ale style but not what I expected for an Amer Amber Ale.
Label states "An American Amber Ale"
2003 version: 1403 lasered on neck (Julian Dt?)
Tasted: 02/07/04

Summer Mountain red pours a red brown with a slightly tan head. The head quickly fades with no lace present. The aroma is a bit sweet and earthy mixed. Hints of malt are also present. The taste is a bit thin. Mostly malt up front then thin earthy tones in the middle. Easy to drink and not that filling makes this a good session beer, overall slightly above average.
