Undated can; drank 2/19/23 @ the Yarchives.
Pale see-through yellow appearance; champagne bubbles throughout.
A rough pour yielded a HUGE off-white head (careful pouring!); minimal, frothy lace.
Lemon, black pepper & mild clove notes in the nose...um, did they can the wrong beer? Smells like a saison.
Medium mouthfeel.
Clove, lemon & mild black pepper flavors.
This in NO WAY tastes like a lager; it tastes like a decent saison. This brewing company recently went out of business, so I can't really ask them, but I'm rating to style, which makes this a big miss, but I have a feeling this was a canning/labeling mistake by people who had stopped giving a fuck in light of their closure.
(As a saison, I'd rate this in the 3.75 range, for the record)

Poured from a 16 ounce can into a glass. Light gold in color. A bubbly, thin white head quickly gives way, allowing the carbonation to become a prominent visual attribute. Has a crisp, clean easy drinking mouthfeel. The malt an the hops are there but just not as assertive as I’ve experienced with other beers of this style. This one is ideal for a warm summer’s day. Could easily see knocking back a few after mowing the lawn or at a bbq. I’ll definitely try this again.
