A: Cloudy orange with a slightly brown tinge. Finger or so of tight white head. Good mix of small and large bubbles. Small bubbles that lazily float to the surface. Looks pretty good.
S: Pretty good caramel undertone. Hops are citric and pine needle. Floral and woodsy. Smells like a stereotypical west coast IPA circa 2008.
T: Tastes like a it's on the way out. Hops are muted and turning. Still, there's a big shot of citrus and pine needle in there. Malt is very thin and borderline cracker like. Almost takes on a saltine like presence.
M: Light to medium bodied. Slightly crisp. Carbonation is subdued on the tongue.
O: Meh. Pretty forgettable. Would like to try a fresher bottle.

Pours a hazy yellow-brown with a foamy tan head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and pine needle aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, earth, and pine needle flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of hop and earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mix of citrus and earthy hop qualities and a fairly assertive bitterness for a pale ale.
