This beer also titled "the Dark Side" pouts pitch black with a head that disappears quickly and no visible carbonation. Hints of citrus fruits and a slight sweetness of malts but overall no over powering scents. Nice crispness to the beer and I can feel the carbonation on my lips the bitter taste of the hops lingers. The beer begins with a nice mellow balanced flavor before the grassy hop flavor kicks in.

On tap at Hamilton Family Brewery in Rancho Cucamonga, CA.
Pours an opaque super dark brown with a foamy dark khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, cocoa powder, and citrus zest aromas. Taste is much the same with cocoa powder, char, and citrus zest flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roast and hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is pretty good beer with solid roast, cocoa, and citrus characteristics that are better in the smell to me.
Serving type: on tap.
