Back Alley Brewery

Small place behind a brewery off the main drag of Goshen, IN. Small bar with about 6 stools and a smattering of high top tables. Place was fairly quiet not very crowded, they had a few of the beers they brew on tap and a few regulars. Also had liquor. Bartender was nice, I think he might have been the brewer, beers were pretty average to flat out bad. Wouldn't really recommend this place unless you wanted a mixed drink.

Decided to take a Saturday afternoon day trip to Goshen (about 1.5 hours away) with my non beer drinking wife. I wanted to check out Goshen Brewery. Decided to stop in here first when we got into town. My wife is a wine drinker, and this place has a winery in the front of the building. When we decided to stop, I didn't even realize there was a brewery in the back.

It is set up like a small sports bar with several televisions. They had about 6 beers on tap as well as a full service bar. I had the dumpster diver IPA, which was nothing special. Didn't have time to sample the other beers on tap. The owner was very attentive and engaging with customers. We didn't order food because we had some at the winery first. Will probably stop again next time we are in Goshen to try the food and sample the other beers. There is something for everyone here: beer, wine, or cocktails.

 

More of a sports bar. Only sports bar downtown Goshen. Dumpster Diver is go to beer here.

 

A very nice little tap room. They have more than 5 craft brews on tap as well as a full cocktail bar and pub food. The american stout is definitely one of the best I've had and the cherry wheat is the best american wheat I've ever had. No carryout yet but this place is a great stop to grab a delicious pint.
