Big Booty Golden Ale is a treasure in today's world of full flavored light beers. The malt helps create a golden ale, light in body, with a sweetness lingering at the finish. What helps separate this beer from other ales are the notes of berry and citrus in the aroma and flavor. This unique profile is established by adding hops at the “back end” of the brewing process. This golden ale is sure to bring riches to everyone!

Location: Redmond, OR
Style: Blonde Ale
ABV: 5.5%

As I pondered my introduction, I found myself drawn to the Big Booty's unique allure. I carefully poured it into a belcher glass, unveiling a creamy, frothy, one-fingered, off-white head that stayed longer than expected. This head gradually dissipated, leaving behind delicate lacing on the glass. The beer's light amber color, tinged with hints of orange, scored a solid ten on the color charts. The beer is crystal clear, with lively carbonation bubbles enhancing its visual appeal.
As I swirled the glass, I was greeted by the inviting aroma of toasted bread crust with a hint of cracker. The hop aroma offered a delightful bouquet of floral and citrusy notes. The beer's aromas, while not overpowering, were a pleasant accompaniment to the overall experience. The nose, in line with the style, revealed a subtle caramel-like note at the end, adding a touch of sweetness to the sensory journey.
The taste begins with a soft maltiness of crackers, lightly toasted malts, and a touch of biscuits. The hop profile is floral esters, light citrus, and grassy notes. Another flavor I noticed was some earthiness, caramel, and malty sweetness.
The mouthfeel is assertive with a somewhat dry finish. The mouthfeel is medium-light and has medium carbonation.
Sipping on this Big Booty, I noticed a few things. The hop profile is too assertive for this style. The color of the beer is too dark to fall within the style range, which typically calls for a lighter hue (this is a minor complaint on my part). I would have liked to have a less tannic mouthfeel and a bit smoother without it being heavy. I enjoyed the beer but could have done better for a perfect blonde ale.
