Grunt fill from Albertsons. Clear yellow golden Lively carbonation thick fluffy head. Aroma is mostly bread and Grains mildly sweet. Taste is light, in fact a bit too light, focusing on the grains and malts. Sweet finish malts and honey. Tasty and not very filling light on the palate.

real high quality pils type, a bit unrefined, which i really like, almost more of a keller pils type, with some haze to the otherwise bright golden brew, heady too, with a full inch of lasting white foam in my glass. i smell lager yeast right away, crisp sure, but also pretty bold as they go, bready and biscuity and all that, bakery fresh, really nice. the malt is next in nose and taste, clean, bright, and fresh, with its classic pale european flavor to it, and a little honey note. there are some hops too on the back end of this, pretty traditional too, bitter enough, but with a light fruity complex that makes this beer interesting while also keeping it well within style expectations. i really like this on the whole, with some body from what yeast seems to be left in it, and smooth too, crisp from the yeast, great carbonation, refreshing but also kind of hearty for the style. bready a little in the finish, with some hops late as well, very flavorful and well made lager. my first beer from these guys inspires a lot of confidence. this is beautiful and supremely easy drinking stuff. i really enjoyed this pleasant surprise!

edit: more than eight years later this one is still going strong, now explicitly branded as a light lager, which im not sure if it always was, seems a little minimal compared to what i wrote above, now its a bit clearer, less yeast apparent, definitely less hoppy than i described, and i think still very clean and well made, not boring and not all that light as the light lagers go, like still obviously craft, but it does seem like maybe the recipe has been tweaked a bit. the quality is there, and this has received some serious medals over the years, so well done. one of their best...
