Deep coppery color. Mostly hazy. Bubbly head that dissipated quickly. Aroma is whiskey, oak, caramel malt and orange honey. Flavor is malt forward, and the rye whiskey really comes through. Hints of oak, herbs, and vanilla. Very smooth and warm.

On-tap at Bailey's Taproom, Portland, OR
A: The beer is hazy amber in color. It poured with a thick collar of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate to strong aromas of vanilla from the wood barrel aging are present in the nose.
T: Similar to the smell, the taste has lots of flavors of oaky vanilla along with notes of whiskey.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This is an interesting barrel aged beer that has lots of oaky vanilla characteristics without being very heavy on the palate. It does a very good job at asking any traces of alcohol.

Beer is an Imp Red ale aged 4 months in whiskey barrels. Smells great and goes down rather well balanced and surprisingly easy. Little alcohol burn at the very end in yr cheeks but overall it is pretty damn good.
