16-ounce can purchased at John's Marketplace in Beaverton, OR. Date stamp reads "09/10/25". Enjoyed in a nonic half-pint glass.

Journey... was a gold medal winner in last month's Best of Craft Beer Awards Early Harvest fresh hop competition. I figured I ought to investigate.

Look:
This deep gold beer with pale yellow highlights glows with hop haze. The rocky head of off-white foam settles into a heavy ring that diligently marks its way down the glass with gobs of thick lacing.

Smell:
The nose is on the sweet side, but displays plenty of fresh Strata character: berries, mixed citrus juice, a pinch of cannabis.

Taste:
The fresh Strata carries over to the flavor and adds bitterness that makes the back of.my tongue go TWANG. (This is a very good thing.) Strawberry flavor leads, followed by white grapefruit juice and toasty malt that's sweeter than I prefer. Not much of the cannabis flavor from fresh Strata surfaces in the taste. Finishes sweet with a welcome wallop of bitterness.

Feel:
Medium-bodied with carbonation that seems kinda soft, considering the amount of foam it generates. Slight burn in the finish. Not sure if it's alcohol or hop burn.

Overall:
Strata-Sphere lands comfortably in the mid-tier of this year's bounty of fresh hop beers. Not great, but I'm not sorry I tried it. Given it's age (canned 09/10), I'll bet it was quite pungent with fresh hop goodness a couple weeks ago.

2023 can from Saraveza.

A clear light orange with a dense off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. The nose is fresh Strata, jammy, fruity, berry rich with mild pine and some dankness. A touch of stale base malt is present. The palate opens bright and fruity with cooked fruit, melon, jam, citrus. Honey, dough, mild caramel. Quite tasty.

160z can (no date) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a muddy dark orange color with an inch of off-white head that had good retention and light-moderate lacing.

Even with a month longer on the beer than it should have (my bad) the hops popped out with a nice, bold, scent. No real grain as a counter-point. similar on the tongue, but there was a definite dank, musty taste that wasn't on the nose. Again, no malt base.

The body was medium, semi-smooth, and had a semi-dry finish. Drinkability was OK, but that musty aspect became overbearing. Overall, and average-ish brew.

Look: Red-orange and opaque with a pillowy head that holds at one-finger and slowly settles, leaving great lacing behind
Aroma: Freshly cut pink and white grapefruit, navel orange, grapefruit rind, light wafts of diesel, and some bready malt
Taste: Kicks off with a strong diesel fuel hit that backs off some as pithy grapefruit-led citrus follows closely behind. Rind, flesh, and juice all in play throughout with Cannabis notes weaving in and out until it closes with a bite
Mouthfeel: Full, lightly slick, medium-high carbonation, and subtle but felt dryness on the finish
Overall: This is good stuff. I figure this might have some age on it given the hop varietal but this is still tasty and has light but recognizable fresh hop character. A huge citrus nose and an equally huge weedy taste of which since I am a fan of both, are quite enjoyable
