For this special treat, we took our bold "Force Stout" and aged the beer in Crater Lake Rye Whiskey barrels. Force Stout has rich flavors of caramel, chocolate, and roast. The Rye Whiskey barrel aging brings more complexity to this already great beer and adds notes of vanilla and oak. Excellent Tasting Stout. This Winter brew fest has changed my mind on Porters/Stouts, I guess I've never had any really good one up until now. I tasted the caramel and vanilla with a hint of chocolate and sweetness. It pours almost black with a dark tan head that goes away quickly. Very drinkable @ 7.8ABV so you can have more than one at one sitting.
