Slowly trying what Blacks of Kinsale Brewery has to offer, here comes their session IPA.
Top: not much of head forming after pouring and it disappears rather quickly. I prefer to see it staying for at least 5 minutes, it did 2. Its colour was white (slightly off white). Medium to small bubble size.
Colour: gorgeous hazy amber, lovely to look at.
Smell: after decanting for 5 minutes, it's dominated by the hops, which I like very much. Fresh citrus aromas underneath.
Taste: very moderate bitterness on light fruity aromas. Due to its low alcohol content, it's extremely easy to drink, I'd imagine this for long talks amongst friends (so you can have more than one), warm summer evenings. Very refreshing. It doesn't taste watery, simply light.
The mouthfeel is rather solid, which is surprising for a light beer like this. Microbubbles with short stay.
Summary: it's a lovely drinkable IPA, ideal for socializing (when you are tired of drinking mediocre mass produced lagers), I'd have this anytime again. If you're thinking to have one after work as you're trying to find your place on the couch, just go for it. Must try in summertime, see how it works after 2 or 3.

Bottle brought in Kinsale by my wife. Pours a amber colour with a small head. A citrus aroma and floral hops. Taste of hoppiness which becomes quite dry towards the end. Overall a nice pint, one which I'd have again.
