An IPA with a perfect balance of sweetness and bitter hops. With initial tones of citrus like fruit followed with a caramelised pallet this IPA is considered strong and hoppy. Ned’s IPA is however balanced with three types of specialty malts. Cascade hops shine through in this IPA. Originally "Knock Knock Ned's", re-named "Ned's Retro IPA" in 2018.

Bottle 0.33L.
Hazy amber body with an average-to-large, frothy, off-white head, mostly lasting with some nice lacing.
Moderate-to-heavy hoppy (citrus, flowers, grass) and light-to-moderate malty (caramel) aroma with notes of sugar and pine.
Moderate bitter, light acidic and sweet flavour; average-lasting bitter finish.
Medium body with watery-to-oily texture; soft carbonation.

Lightly veiled amber color, one finger of off-white foam, not bad.
In the smell a lot of caramel, piney and resinous hoppy notes, with a citrus touch.
Quite retro in the taste too. Caramel, bready, and a lot of resinous hop.
Same for the aftertaste, resinous and not too fresh.
Old style, but ok.

Pours clear, copper in color with one third inch head. Taste is pine sap, grapefruit, and bread. Bitter, medium heavy bodied with moderate carbonation. Big bitter blast reminiscent of a west coast ipa. Not bad but I prefer others

Had this on a recent trip to Ireland. Big foamy white head that bursts with piney and fruity hops. The taste is much the same as the smell. The bitterness is great and throughout the beer. The body is a touch thin. The color is a nice deep golden. Carbonation is medium.

Pours to a creamy, nitrolike head and ample lace. Aroma is weak spicy hops and malts. Flavor is surprisingly good but only as an English IPA at best. Balanced, spicy hops and substantial malts. Very tasty and feels great. Not anywhere in the vicinity of American IPA, but a tasty brew I will have again.

This is a great looking beer, it appears dirty light orange with a chill haze but not terribly muddy at all. Noble hops with perhaps Cascades in the aroma, herbal, pine, stale citrus. Tastes slightly bready, slightly acidic, stewed hops flavor, and a slight bitterness. Medium bodied beer thats light and not the easiest drinker as the profile is hodge podge and not super tasty. English IPAs are becoming boring and obsolete as it is when they are spot on. This was not even spot on, so obviously not one to return to. Decent beer, and forgettable.
