Francis' IPA is a modern take on the US IPA style, using only floor malted Maris Otter barley and hopped to hell with tropical aromatic varieties like Mosaic and Simcoe. Keeping it simple, clean, big and bangin.

Keg halfpint, as McGargles Big Bangin’ IPA, at The Long Stone, Dublin. ABV 7.1%. Golden colour, white head. Nice hoppy aroma, fruity notes. Nice but distinct hoppy flavour, fruity, not too sweet, not too dry, good bitterness, easy drinking for its strength.

Bottle smuggled back from Ireland.
Slightly hazy deep gold in color with a thin white head that recedes. Citrus pine resin and bready caramel maltiness. Old school stand up DIPA.

The big flavors I get in the taste: Citrus: orange, grapefruit, lemon, Booze, Malt: caramel and biscuit variety, and most importantly, Vinegar! It was so good until that diacetyl vinegar taste, yuck! Smell is quite nice without it. Body is too oily/resin forward.

Pours clear, gold in color with one third inch head. Taste is grapefruit, melon and oily hop. Heavy bodied, bitter, low carbonation. Big and bitter. Flavors do not mesh well. Makes for a below average beer that is a big miss for me. I want to detect more than just big IBUs. Least favorite from brewery.

Had a draft pour into first a flight tasting, than into a full pint. Delicious tasting beer if you like the citrus flavoring of an IPA.

I'm not sure if I got a bad batch of this brew, but what I had was severely sub-par. Vinegar is the standout taste. Just a very bad tasting beer. Ugg. Overly carbonated... seemed more like a wannabe champagne than a beer. I don't understand it at all.
I'm hoping for the sake of all of the good reviews that I somehow received a bad batch. I am going to literally dump out the remaining 4 bottles and recycle them, at least I'll feel like something good came from the recycling. Geez.
This (at least the batch I have) is probably one of the worst beers I have ever reviewed. Tastes like carbonated vinegar with a shot of Bud Light mixed in... no bueno.
