Copenhagen 12/6 2018. 50 cl bottle from Lidl, Lygten, Kbh NV. Purple label with drawing of a hand tugging a mustache.
Pours hazy amber with a medium-sized bubbly, white head. Settles as a 1 cm thick layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is sweetish and fruity. Medium intense. Exotic fruit like peach, mango and melon. Light citric notes.
Light carbonation. Thin, watery, soft texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is medium bitter. Fairly short lived. Finish is semi-dry.
Pleasant enough - even though on the thin and watery side.

Poured from bottle. Lovely, dark and cloudy gold. Orange peel aroma with bread. Taste follows with extra zest and hoppy finish. Nice full feel with creamy pilsner afters. Delicious.

De Lidl. En copa de pinta inglesa de Ikea. En almuerzo, con garbanzos y chorizo. Limpia y refrescante, con buen cuerpo y unas notas cítricas que le dan bastante vidilla. Deja con ganas de mas

Bought in Lidl in Germany. Back label's entirely in German. They say it's brewed with Ella hops and supposed to taste "like candied lemons, pine nuts and mandarin." Also says it's brewed in Kildare, Ireland by Rye River Brewing, an openness that's unusual in beers bought and brewed by/for Lidl. It cost 1.74€/0.5L bottle, which for a craft beer from Ireland is a great price, but if I'm a average German, I'm thinking it's 0.75¢ too expensive for my tastes.
Appearance: Looks like a pale ale, golden orange with white head that collapsed immediately.
Aroma: Large citrus, mandarin aroma and some sweet malts.
Flavor: Lots of bitterness up front, on the sides and in the aftertaste. Sweetness is present but it's almost too sweet. It feels unbalanced. There's also mandarin and citrus all through mouth, but it feels just like singing one note... not too complex. As it warms up I get a little more sweetness but again, it feels not very complex.
Mouthfeel: Average for Pale Ale, kind of Goldilocks, good but nothing spectacular.
Overall, if you're at Lidl and want some citrusy hops, it's a good value, but it's not one I will buy again. it's good but I'd rather spend more for a much better beer for a better craft beer.
