look: two finger foamy white head with good retention, beer is a super hazy amber colour, no light passing through, pretty vibrant carbonation rolling up the glass.
smell: smells nice enough, lots of grapefruit, orange, caramel, quite floral, herbal, nicely sweet, hint of biscuit.
taste: it’s not bad, super floral, herbal, piney, lot of grapefruit, pink grapefruit, orange and orange pith, hint of lemon, medium bitterness on the finish, sweet fruit flavours linger on the finish.
feel: light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, lingering bitterness on the back of the tongue, quite dry on the finish, a touch oily, very drinkable.
overall: not a bad effort from rye river, expecting a little bit more but it’s a perfectly pleasant ipa.
