A crisp, bitter American Style IPA bursting with aromas of citrus fruits from the Cascade and Vic Secret dry hops. The hops are the stars here with flavours of juicy tangerines and bitter grapefruit but there is a strong enough malt backbone to provide a balanced finish.

look: one finger smooth looking white head, beer is quite clear, golden to amber in colour, doesn’t seem to be much carbonation.
smell: very sweet, caramel and citrus fruits, mainly grapefruit, some mango and papaya, vanilla, smells hoppy of course.
taste: that’s a weird one now, at first it is absurdly sweet, like drinking a fruit soda, which gives way then to a big whack of hop bitterness that isn’t actually particularly pleasant, more disorienting, the finish is bitter with some smoky malt flavours, well, more burned than smokey really, kind of tastes like the skin of an orange rather than the orange itself on the finish also.
feel: medium bodied, medium carbonation, sticky, little syrupy, decent bit of warmth on the back of the throat.
overall: yeah this isn’t good, which is a shame because having just tried their rather pleasant kölsch i was looking forward to this, but give this one a miss.
