The Brown Malt used in Dec’s Brown Ale perfectly complements the bittering dose of Columbus hops which give this beer a rich roasted coffee and toffee flavour and aroma.

Copenhagen 19/1 2019. 33 cl bottle. Gift from my In-laws. Drawing of Toothless Dec on the label. Tagline is "Rich, Malty and Smooth".
Pours slightly hazy, dark brown with a red hue. Small off-white head. Settles as a 0,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is dark, sweet and metallic. Brown sugar, caramel, roasted malts with a strange, distinct metallic odor rummaging in the background.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, smooth, lightly prickly, oily texture.
Flavor is quite sweet followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bit more bitter with a sweet undertone. Lingers for a bit. Semi-dry finish.
Lives up to the tagline being Rich (or sweet at least), Malty (certainly) and smooth. They did not include metallic in the tagline - but they could do so without violating the truth.
