had on tap at none other than....The Temple Bar

a: dark mahagony and ruby red color with some burnt orange towards the center of the glass. 1/2 finger smooth tan head. very nice looking beer

s: rich caramel malts and a hint of roast. sweet amber grains and a nice herbal sweetness as well. a touch of grassy floral hops too

t: dark caramel malts, sweet grains, and a hint of roast. a touch of grassy hops too. behind that is some sticky sweet berries as well. there is the faintest kiss of earthy hops in this too. the finish is sweet and doughy

m: medium mouthfeel, and a touch sticky. medium carbonation

o: a very enjoyable red ale. simple, yet with all the flavors you want in a red. not too sweet, but features the malts as the protagonist.

On-tap at 57 The Headline, Dublin, Ireland

A: The beer is hazy amber in color and has no visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high beige head that died down and left a collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Light aromas of tea are present in the nose. Some hints of malts also become noticeable as the beer warms up.
T: The taste has flavors of tea leaves and underlying notes of pale malts along with a slight mount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink. I like how it blended the flavors of tea as these weren't too strong and were balanced off by the malts.
