Dec. 2013: On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Very dark ruby colour, nearly black. Moderate beige head. Moderate aroma of resinous hops and onions. The flavour is first smooth and refreshing, with notes of fruity hops, while the finish and aftertaste has a distinct, sharp and somewhat unpleasant bitterness, with some onion-like sidenotes.

Pours murky dark brown with extremely huge rocky brown head (hard pour), long as hell retention.
Smell - buckwheat, rye, spicy esters, caramel.
Taste - rich, caramel, coffee, spices, dark fruits.
Medium body, good carbonation.
Buckwheat and hop bitterness in the background.
