Tropical IPA made with Tangerine, Pineapple & Passionfruit!
If you ever find yourself in the Florida Keys on the tiny uninhabited island of Bahia Honda, watch out for the most deadly snake in North America, the Bahia Mamba. Elusive and often skittish, they are no less terrifying and responsible for the untimely death of many a pirate and most notably, Ernest Hemingway.* Golden, hazy, dry and erupting with tropical fruit aromas, Bahia Mamba is the perfect hot weather quencher, packed with Ekuinot, Azacca, Idaho Gem, Cascade and Australian Ella hops. If you hear the hiss…run!
*The Bahia Mamba is not a real snake and Ernest Hemingway did not get killed by one. We made up the whole thing.

16 ounce prowler into signature tulip glass, filled on 9/15/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge tart/tangy tangerine, orange juice, pineapple, passion fruit, fruit skin, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, apricot, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, cherry, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, green peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt notes; with big strength. Taste of huge tart/tangy tangerine, orange juice, pineapple, passion fruit, fruit skin, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, apricot, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, cherry, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, green peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness; and fruit tang/tartiness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy tangerine, orange juice, pineapple, passion fruit, fruit skin, red grapefruit, lemon, lime, peach, apricot, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, cherry, blueberry, gooseberry, citrus peel/rind, wood, mint, green peppercorn, pine, wheat, cracker, white bread, toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness and tart/tangy fruit balance; with no lingering hop/fruit astringency after the finish. Moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky, and fairly crisp/resinous/rindy/acidic/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 7.3%. Overall this is an awesome fruited IPA. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit, citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp to drink with the moderately bitter/tart/resinous/drying finish; not overly aggressive. Awesome Ekuanot, Azacca, Idaho Gem, Cascade and Ella profile. Extremely juicy, vibrant, dank, and earthy hops/fruit; with a great balancing pale/wheat malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp resin dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected.
