This Vienna style Mexican lager has a rich bready aroma with hints of earthy, herbal hops and a balanced bitterness that finishes clean and smooth from many weeks of lagering. Using a traditional lager yeast we took the time to let it create a rich but crisp profile.

16 ounce prowler into lager glass, filled on 5/5/2019. Pours crystal clear deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, white bread dough/crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, nuttiness, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big cracker, white bread dough/crust, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of honey, nuttiness, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light herbal, floral, woody, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, white bread dough/crust, toasted biscuit, honey, nuttiness, wood, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a nice malt/bitterness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Perfectly clean on lager flavors, with no fruity/yeasty notes present. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is an awesome Vienna lager. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of bready malts and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink, with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Very clean and rich Vienna malt showcase; with nice noble hop presence/balance. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and outstanding spot on style example as expected.
