This is it! The official beer of the Michigan State Fair! Brewed exclusively with Motor City Malting pale malt and Goodrich, Michigan's Top Hops centennial hops, this is a beer light enough to enjoy a pint or two and still be able to ride the Tilt-O-Whirl yet full flavored enough to wash down a corn dog smothered in yellow mustard.

16 ounce prowler into signature tulip glass, filled on 8/11/2019. Pours fairly hazy deep golden amber color with a 2 finger fairy dense and fluffy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, light onion/weed, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and pale malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, light onion/weed, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, woody, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of red grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, honeydew melon, citrus peel/zest, wood, mint, peppercorn, pine, light onion/weed, cracker, white bread dough, light toasted biscuit, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and pale malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and no lingering hop astringency after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium-plus carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Light lingering resins/rinds through the glass. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.1%. Overall this is an excellent Session IPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/earthy hops and pale malt flavors; very smooth, refreshing, and fairly crisp/clean to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish; nicely soft and not aggressive. Very flavorful and not watery for the ABV. Top Hops farm hops; a bit more dank/earthy than expected. Very vibrant, juicy, dank, and earthy hops; with a great clean pale malt backbone. Mild residual sweetness with crisp dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and impressive style example as expected. No complaints.
