This Imperial Stout was aged in 16-year 1792 Bourbon barrels with a TON of cacao nibs from our friends at Mindo Chocolate Makers in Dexter, MI.

A - Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Light amount of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is dark chocolate, roasted malts and heavy bourbon.
T - The taste is dark chocolate, vanilla, cola, roasted malts and nice wash of bourbon.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Slick mouthfeel with a crisp drying finish.
O - Decent. The mouthfeel is a touch thin for the abv.

L= Deep Dark Black. Gorgeous color. Lightly carbonated, virtually no head, possibly because it was canned from a keg at Discount Drinks, Wyandotte, Michigan.
S= WOW! Bourbon and Chocolate, IN YOUR FACE! Some subtle vanilla, salt, malt notes. Few beers have such a crisp nose.
T= Swirl it around, let the chocolate and bourbon dance about your tongue. Some saltiness and a bit of malt, and smoke toward the back end. Like having a shot of bourbon while eating tiramisu. Outstanding!
F= Not surprised to find a 13.6 BBA imperial stout taste a bit sticky, and not concerned, it comes with the territory.
O= Chubby Bubby is a pretty heavenly brew. The 13.6 ABV is right up front, warning you it will kick your ass. Bring it on, sez I. I have had very few better beers... highly recommended, world class!
