Enjoyed on tap at Popeye's in Tokyo. Rich burnished gold pour, and on a very thin lacy cap for a head. Sweet toffee aroma with some alcohol also in the nose. Nice sweet toffee flavour, and very mild bitterness, with a pleasing warmth as it goes down. It reminded me a lot of some of the Fuller's vintage ales. Full bodied, and slightly sticky, with very little carbonation. This is what I look for in a barleywine, and I think its a fine example.
